Yes, IMX728 sensor is supported in RTOS SDK.

If we continue with our existing LI-IMX728RCCB-96717-120H-DSL GMSL2 camera and use an external GMSL2 deserializer with MIPI CSI-2 output to the J722SXH01EVM, would TI be able to support us with the required integration on the J722S side?

We understand that this exact setup has not been validated by TI, but we would like to know whether TI can still provide technical guidance if we proceed with this approach.

Thank you for the clarification regarding the GMSL2 camera. We have now decided to purchase the TI-supported IMX728 camera setup for the J722SXH01EVM instead of continuing with our existing GMSL2 camera.

From the TI documentation, we understand that the supported setup is:

- J722S EVM
- D3-IMX728-FPDLINKIV camera
- Fusion2 Rev. E3

Before placing the order, could you please help us confirm the exact hardware that we should purchase?

We found different IMX728 camera options with different FOVs, for example around 55° and 121° at urldefense.com/.../

Our intended use case is a front-facing ADAS camera for applications such as object detection, lane detection and general front perception.

Could you please confirm:

1. Which exact D3-IMX728-FPDLINKIV camera model/part number and FOV would you recommend for this use case?

2. Which exact Fusion2 Rev. E3 board should we purchase for connecting this camera to the J722SXH01EVM?

3. Do we need to purchase any additional coax cable, adapter or other hardware separately?

4. How should the Fusion board be physically connected to the J722SXH01EVM?

5. Once we have this hardware, can we directly use the IMX728 support and the Front Camera Vision Apps example available in the current SDK, or is any additional setup required?

It would be helpful if you could share the exact product/order links or part numbers for the camera and the required Fusion board so that we can purchase the correct hardware.

Our testing was done with the D3 IMX728 with 120HFOV

These D3 cameras only differ in lens FOV.
I am not sure which FOV is the best for your target front camera application.

The IMX728 driver we have is for RTOS SDK.

Before we place the order, I would like to confirm the complete hardware setup once more. We are planning to purchase:

* D3 IMX728 camera with 121° HFOV
* J7EXPA01EVM Fusion2 board

We could not find a reference to the Fusion2 board in the camera datasheet (please refer to the attached screenshot), so could you please confirm that the intended connection is:

D3 IMX728 camera with 121° HFOV ->  FPD-Link cable -> J7EXPA01EVM Fusion2 board -> J722SXH01EVM

Also, could you please confirm whether the J7EXPA01EVM package includes everything required to connect it to the J722SXH01EVM, or whether we need to order any additional adapter, connector, power supply, or cable separately?

For the camera side, does the D3 IMX728 camera normally include the required FPD-Link cable, or should we order that separately as well?

In particular, could you share the recommended part number/specification for the FPD-Link cable and the required power supply, if they are not included with the camera/Fusion2 board?

We just want to make sure that we purchase all the required hardware together.

Fusion2 Adapter Board and SAMTEC cable are not included in J722SXH01EVM.

I went through the FAQ and the Fusion2 user guide. From the FAQ, I understand that there are three possible ways to connect the Fusion2 board to the J722SXH01EVM:

* Fusion2 Adapter Board (recommended)
* SAMTEC cable
* Direct connection

One thing is still unclear for us. We could not find a purchase link or exact ordering part number for the Fusion2 Adapter Board and also SAMTEC cable.

Could you please provide the correct part number and, if possible, the purchase link for the Fusion2 Adapter Board and SAMTEC cable?

This would be very helpful for us so to order all parts together.
