AM62A7: Using the WKUP_UART from Linux with Yocto

Part Number: AM62A7

We want to use the wkup serial port exclusively under Linux (A53). Therefore, we want the device manager (DMR5) to stop using this serial connection; to do this, we are using the board configuration information from the tiboot3.bin file.

https://software-dl.ti.com/mcu-plus-sdk/esd/AM62X/latest/exports/docs/api_guide_am62x/DEVELOP_AND_DEBUG_DMR5.html#autotoc_md358

Currently, we still see “##DM Built On: ...” on the wkup serial port, even though the tiboot3-am62ax-hs-evm.bin file was built using board-cfg.bin and combined-dm-cfg.bin. The board-cfg.bin file was built from board-cfg.yaml with “trace_dst_enables: 0x00”.

Does the version tagged “11.01.07” of the dm_edgeai_mcu1_0_release_strip.out firmware in processor-firmware/ti-linux-firmware.git actually use the trace_dst_enables field?
