DDR Size on DM8127 IPNC

Hi ALL,

The DM8127 IPNC actually use 4 K4B1G1646E,totally 512MB,but why the IPNC u-boot shows below(2GB)

I2C: ready
DRAM: 2 GiB
NAND: HW ECC Hamming Code selected
256 MiB

I also checked the PG2.1 EVM(it use 1GB),it also shows "2GB",any idea?thanks

Hi,

You are probably using an old version of U-Boot.
My IPNC-8127 shows: "DRAM: 512 MiB". From version 1.8.0. i think.

Hi Marko,

Thanks,i checked the DDR size with the binary (u-boot.bin) in their V2.0 release,the size has been changed to 512M,i think they just keep the define of DDR size same with in PSP in (IPNC V1.5 & V1.8),Thanks again.

Hi all,

IPNC has 512MB of DDR3 memory, with upper 256 MB from 0x80000000 o 0x8FFFFFFF and other 256 MB is from 0xB0000000 to 0xBFFFFFFF.

Also, ipnc_mcfw\mcfw\src_bios6\cfg\ti814x\AMMU_m3.cfg specifies that upper 256MB of 512MB is cahceable and lower 256 MB is not cacheable
