mp3 decoder with mono files

Hi,

I am using the ittiam MP3 decoder with the dvsdk2 on DM365. I am using DMAI interface and I followed the exemples provided in "dvsdk_2_10_01_18_demos_update".

While the stereo files are decoded correctly, mono mp3 files produces burst of about 1150 sample of decoded data followed by burst of the same length of silence.

Does the the decoder supports mono files?

Hi,

MP3 decoder supports both stereo and mono channel. Please ensure that

inArgs.s_iauddec_in_args.desiredChannelMode = -1;

Thank you Reshma I found the mono file was encoded at 8KHz wile the minimum is 16KHz.
