usb mass storage on DM36X IPNC

Hi,

I think you need to do a few HW modifications to be able to put IPNC in host mode.

You can look at Leopardboard shematics about that:

Hi Marko,

 Thanks for your reply.Now the host mode has worked ,sometimes we also want the IPNC working as a USB device,which we can update the firmware and copy files to mmc on the board,

that means we need to dynamically switch USB role(host/device),so i think we need the OTG function.

We also have the DM365 EVM board from TI,we can test the OTG funciton with EVM first,but i am not sure which version of PSP support OTG in kernel,and where/how to get it?

Hi Xiang,

I haven't tried OTG, but looking at IPNC default kernel, there is possible to select OTG in kernel menuconfig  :
   Device Drivers -> USB Support  -> Driver Mode  (Host, Peripheral or Both-OTG)

            I tried the LSP2.1 on DM365EVM(have removed J6 and J26),under OTG mode,the preipheral works(usb device,with g_file_storage.ko),and i can see the USB new device in windows.

            After that ,we used the command below ,and tred to switch to usb host mode

               echo "F" > /proc/driver/musb_hdrc

           But when i plug in my flash memory,thers is no response,i checked the VBUS,it's low.it seems the switch failed,any idea?(also tried the default IPNC kernel,got the same result)
