AM2434: LP-AM243: Ethernet/IP with Single PHY configuration

Part Number: AM2434
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Hi Team,

I am using AM2434 for developing EtherNET/IP adapter application on custom board.

I am using example project ind_comms_sdk_am243x_09_02_00_24\examples\industrial_comms\ethernetip_adapter_demo\profiles\generic_device\standard\rgmii\am243x-lp\r5fss0-0_freertos
from the SDK ind_comms_sdk_am243x_09_02_00_24.

But I want to configure and work with Single PHY with address 15. Based on this

I made changed in sysconfig, commented one phy and able to build the code. After flashing I am able to see the IP address on UART terminal but not able to ping the device. Is there any other thing which I need to change. kindly guide me to configure single phy.

Thanks,

Surabhi

  • Hi Surabhi,

Could you clarify your requirement for a 'Single PHY'? If you are looking to implement an EtherNet/IP adapter with a single port, the standard EtherNet/IP adapter stack does not support this, as its switch-based architecture requires two ports.
Although a single-port configuration is technically feasible through custom stack adaptation, such modifications are not part of the standard offering. Please reach out to your local TI sales office to discuss custom adaptation options.

    Best regards,
