I have a cusotmer designing wiht C6455. He has a question on the EMAC clock (see below).
I can't find a requirement for the EMAC clock. Typically, when running RMII for 100BaseT Ethernet, a 25 MHz clock is used for the PHY. While the document says what CLKIN2 needs to be in case of using GMII or RGMII, I'm having trouble finding information for what needs to be done to run in RMII. I have only found a statement about SYSCLK3. Are there any other internal clock considerations? Or, is the 50 external MHz RMREFCLK the only clock required for the EMAC?
