Kernel panic on boot for am335x evm running ti-sdk-5.03.03



Hello, 

I seem to have run into a kernel panic trying to boot the EVM with the 5.03.03 package. This is the default configuration with the stock EVM board. Any help would be appreciated.

    I see that you are using a kernel image "uImage-am335x-evm-htfoo.bin".  How was that image created?  Do you see this with the stock kernel image from the board-support/prebuilt-images directory?

  • Hello Chase,

    That log was with the prebuilt image. The renaming was just to allow for a few users to share the same tftpboot folder without their images overwriting.

    Did you also update your u-boot.img and MLO files?  SDK 05.03.03.00 was created to adjust some DDR memory timings that causes boot failures on some silicon.  That change was put into the bootloaders.  I just validated that the 05.03.03.00 stock images boot on my EVM as well.
