AM2612-Q1: AM261x: Flash modified issue

Part Number: AM2612-Q1

We are using AM261x in an EV charing application, we are facing a citical issue where the flash content is unexpectedly modified after a power cycle.

  1. During power down (VCC drops: the blue line in the picture), we see a single CLK spike (the red line in the picture)
  2. During normal operation, we noticed that every time there is a CLK signal, the WE pin is pulled low

So the question is:

  1. Could this Flash access combined with the CLK spike cause the Flash to be unexpectedly written or modified?
  2. If we want to completely disable this Flash access, what is the recommended way to configure it in software?

  • Hi Yang,

Apologies for the delay in response. It was Dussehra holidays in TI India.

During power down (VCC drops: the blue line in the picture), we see a single CLK spike (the red line in the picture)

Can you please help me understand the foloowing:

    1. Can you please share a probe shot with  OSPI_RESET_OUT, 3.3V and 1.2V Power Good Signals, OSPI_CLK, WE

    2.  How are you powering down?

If we want to completely disable this Flash access, what is the recommended way to configure it in software?

Basically we have to ensure that there FLASH and MCU both are in RESET state when not MCU/FLASH is not within recommended operating conditions.

    Thanks & Regards,
    Rijohn
