Immanuel Rathinam said:1.Can DM8168 support 16 channel simultaneous decoding ?
Yes, It can support 16 D1 decodes simultaneously.
Immanuel Rathinam said:In the reference design 16 camera inputs are taken. And it mentions simultaneous record/display. All the camera images are displayed to single display or multiple display ?
DM8168 supports 2 HD and 1SD displays. All 16 channels can be displayed on 1 displays or multiple displays based on requirements.
Immanuel Rathinam said:3.Can the 16 camera images be displayed on to display using overlay functionality? If not, how can this achieved?
Composition and scaling is done to achieve this. Composition is done by manipulating the buffer address for all channels and scaling is done in hardware.
Immanuel Rathinam said:4.What are the API’s available for Decode, resize, display ? Single or multiple API’s
We have RDK (Reference Development Kti) for doing this. Its optimized for above useCase. Please contact your local TI representative for same.
Immanuel Rathinam said:Either H.264 or MJPEG format data will be available from IP camera. What is the fps we can acheive for D1 and VGA resolutions?
It supports 60FPS display at 1080P60, while capture is D1(NTSC or PAL). We have not done VGA capture.
