TDA4VM-Q1: TDA4VM Boot mode (errata i2414)

We use the TDA4VM SoC in our project. I found a statement in the errata document (i2414). It means we should use a auto-negotiation PHY if we intend to boot from Ethernet? 

We are using DP83TG720R-Q1 on our project. Does that mean Ethernet boot is not available? If we boot from nof-flash or eMMC, can this errata ignored?image.png

    Hello Bin,

    So the workaround is to use a PHY supporting auto-negotiation is required. DP83TG720R-Q1 does not support auto negotiation. The errata is only applicable for ethernet boot mode and not for the other boot modes. 

    You can go ahead and use the EMMc and ospi nor flash the above errata is not applicable.
