question about memory for linux kernel in DM8168

question:
1. why TI provide different memory map (128MB and 256MB) for linux kernel? and why the performance like CPU loading will be different? Basically, the utilized resource should be the same.
2. why the operating frequency for DDR3 in EVM is 800MHz instead of 1600MHz? why the ARM is 1000MHz instead of 1200MHz. it seems current setting mis-match the spec TI declared.

  • Any one know that?

What memory map are you referring to?

What difference in CPU loading do you observe?

This question doesn't belong in the Linux forum.  You would probably get better support from a hardware-oriented forum.
