Hi all

I am looking at building a digital still camera for educational purposes. I have found the following block diagram, based on which I am assembling the components that I need: http://www.ti.com/solution/digital_still_camera

Based on this schematic, I have managed to secure a 10M pixel CCD and I want to make sure that I am using the correct front end and image processing modules.

I wanted to ask:

  • which TMS320DM355 module would be most appropriate so that I can determine the appropriate AFE block and 
  • what system/evaluation/development board would be appropriate so that I can develop a digital still camera

The family of TI development boards are plentiful and a bit overwhelming.  I have had a quick search of the forums and cannot find any relevant posts.  I am new to TI, have lots to learn and would be very thankful for any help or recommendations.
