Hi,

    We are planning to design a custom board using TMS320TCI6618 DSP. We are taking reference from the TMDXEVM6670L EVM schematics. I have a few doubts:

1) In that EVM, DSP is booting through the EEPROM and NOR Flash and the DIP SWITCHES are connected to the FPGA. In our design, we want to connect the DSP boot pins directly to the DIP SWITCHES and DSP is connected to SPI NOR Flash and EEPROM directly. Is this ok?

2) In the reference EVM board, the major control mechanism (booting, reset mechanism) is done through FPGA. We would like to give the major control mechanisn to DSP only. Is this possible? Please suggest me?

    All TCI66xx based support is done through your local FAE and is not supported on the E2E forum.  If you do not know who your local FAE is, please contact your local TI sales representative and they will be able to put you in contact with them.
