Best file system choice for NAND based Android

We are developing a new board which must support NAND based Android.  The board is a derivative of the LogicPD AM3517EVM eval board.  Our Micron NAND device is 2Gbyte, with 2K pages.  We're using Linux and Android from the TI Gingerbread 2.3.4 release, along with u-boot 2011.09.

We now must pick a file system to support the root file system on the NAND device.  My impression is that the prime candidates for an Android NAND system are UBIFS and YAFFS2, with JFFS2 being outdated in some regards.

Can someone clarify for me the best choice?  I am mostly interested in reliability and support, with performance being secondary.

Thank you,
Ron
