RDK audio error on audio DM8168 EVM +　VS Daughter Card

Hello,

Default support of 16 channel audio capture in DVRRDK GA ver2.0 .This needs DM8168 EVM + VS Daughter Card RevC.

But we have DM8168 EVM RevC + VS Daughter Card RevB. It can not validate 16channel audio capture .
why?What can we do for this problem?
 
I want to make DM8168 EVM RevC + VS Daughter Card RevB to achieve 16channel audio capture .

    Hi,

    The reason for not supporting 16 channel audio capture for VS Daughter Card Rev B is that on this daughter card, we dont have support for 16 channel cascaded audio mode. For details on cascaded mode of audio, please refer to datasheet of TVP5158 at http://www.ti.com/product/tvp5158

    Cascaded mode is must have for all 16 channel capture as we cannot have multi-serializer support in McASP driver. We can only capture one instance of audio input on one McASP. In Rev B daughter card, that one instance is single TVP5158 chip. This means on that board we can have only 4 channel audio capture.
