Support for DM3730 with SYS/BIOS in CCSv5

I am looking to create a new CCSv5 project using the "SYS/BIOS, Typical" project template. I am using the LogicPD DM3730 Torpedo development kit. I have code running in the DSP and ARM cores now, but I need to add SYS/BIOS to the DSP side in order to utilize features of DSP Link / SYS Link for interfacing.

In CCSv5, I setup the device correctly (Family: C6000 | Variant: DM3730 | Connection: XDS100v2), but the subsequent "RTSC Configuration Settings" dialog shows no available platforms. I am not sure how to best proceed from here... Do I have to create a new platform, download one, or abandon my attempts to use any of the project templates in CCSv5? How can I get SYS/BIOS running under the hood of my existing image processing code? Thanks in advance!

I think I found my problem. It appears that there is no SYS/BIOS support for the DM3730:

Could this be possible? How could such a heterogeneous processor be sold without any clear means to interface the 2 processors. I must be mistaken?

I would also be interested in SYS/BIOS for DM3730.

Is TI planning to support that device any time soon?

I would be very interested in explicit support for AM3730 or DM3730 CortexA8 in SYS/BIOS.

Or even documentation to illustrate how any variant can be added and built. Going through RTSC documentation and learning how to create components and use the XDCtools should not be required for CCSv5 projects.

I am surprised the Beagleboard-xM did not make this the first supported variant for embedded real time control. OMAP4 (A9) & OMAP5 (A15) get more support and are unlikely to be used for industrial real time control.

Any chance of support soon?

Of course I meant the AM3715. I compared the AM3517 (Is supported under SYS/BIOS) with AM3715/DM3730 and it appears to be just the Cache size (half) and speed. So in theory, the AM3517 could be made to look like a DM3730 Cortex A8 implementation.

Are there any issues with this? Emulator configuration perhaps. Workarounds?
