PSP NAND driver page size 4096 bytes

Hi! I want to using PSP NAND driver for interfacing with NAND flash chip. In documentation for this driver i found, that it support 512-byte page and 2048-byte page NAND devices. But my custom board uses 4096 flash chip.

What do I do?

At this forum i find out information, that PSP NAND driver can be correct!

Please, anybody, give me exact code places, where i need to make correct the code driver!

My configuration:

DSP/BIOS 5.41.07.24

PSP Drivers 01.30.01

CCS 4.2

Processor: tms320c6747

Flash chip: 1 page = 4096 Bytes + 128 Bytes spare are. 1 block = 64 pages. 1 device = 4096 block. 8 I/O line

Hi Alexander,

You can go through the NAND driver design document to understand the NAND driver architecture. Also, you can refer the NAND section of the userguide to know the different data structure being used in the driver and how that can be configured from the application as per the requirement.

As a initial step, you need to focus on the llc_nand.c and llc_nand.h file to have the setup for 4096 page. You need to add the entry for 4096 page, wherever you find the 512 and 2048 page. It is required to update the nandDeviceInfoLut[] and nandDeviceTimingLut[] from which the driver will get the NAND device info and the timing info.
