Linux Kernel 3.3 and PSP 04.04 - when?

Since last summer we were told that TI would move the PSP to Linux kernel 3.2 when it was released. Now 3.3 is released, are we actually going to see the TI kernel move forward?

It's well over a month since the wiki pages suggested PSP 04.04 was released for TI81xx but there's not been any download available.

It really does seem like the TI have scaled back the TI81xx development rather a lot, with very little visible change happening for months... could we get some visibility about what's going on and what's planned and when? The USB DMA is still terribly broken and we're getting no help for months and months...

To at least half-answer my own question. The 04.04 release appears to have happened today;

It's now June. 3.4 is out and so is 3.5-rc1, yet nothing happening with TI. Are you guys dead, or have you just given up?

I also request latest kernel for DM365/DM368, because linux-2.6.32.17 does not support UVC of USB Gadget.

I once see such post for kernel 3.0.0 - http://e2e.ti.com/support/embedded/linux/f/354/t/133530.aspx, but does not provider config file for DMxxx.

Does some one can help on this ?

And it's now July. Still no movement at TI. TI are letting everyone down badly here. So very many broken promises about how development would progress. It feels like TI have basically given up with Linux development as far as I can see. Why won't anyone at TI even respond? Very poor.

Hi Jeffray,

There is a DM365 release done by the PSP team which is based on Linux v2.6.37. This release can be downloaded from http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/psp/LinuxPSP/DaVinci_03_21/03_21_00_04/index_FDS.html. Testing of SDK release having this Linux version is under progress and will be done in next few days.

I am not sure when DM365 platform will support Linux v3.x.

I'm actually looking for DM814x/DM816x PSP. This was supposed to be released every month but never has been anywhere near that. TI people almost never respond to questions or offer any real help. The latest Arago git kernel is still ancient 2.6.37, which isn't really any good, and also requires VPSS firmware 1.0.1.39 which isn't available from anywhere that I can find. This isn't acceptable at all. TI sold us a platform which has now been forgotten it would seem.

We were "Promised" Linux 3.2 when the 3.2 kernel was released. This clearly didn't happen and doesn't look ever likely to happen. Thanks, TI.

TI withhold so much information about the platform, and have so much undocumented code with undocumented registers and values in there that it's basically impossible for us to move the kernel forward ourselves, so we have to rely on TI releases, and you let us down. Very badly.

I meet the same problem when i try to add "psp03.21.00.04" into "ti-dvsdk_dm368-evm_4_02_00_06":
