OMAP - 4470 DSI1 and HDMI - differential pair pin polarity configuration

Hi,

I have a confusion for DSI and HDMI differential pair  polarity pin configuration.

What i understand is below. Please correct if it is wrong understanding.

For DSI1 : DSI1_DX0 -- +Ve signal

                   DSI1_DY0  --  -Ve signal

For HDMI : HDMI_DATA0Y -- +Ve signal

                     HDMI_DATA0X -- -Ve signal

Thanks,

Hitesh

  • Hi,

According to the schematics your understanding is correct. However, seems like you can actually configure the behavior.

    For DSI, you can configure DSI_COMPLEXIO_CFG1 (CLOCK_POL, DATA1_POL, DATA2_POL, DATA3_POL, DATA4_POL).

    For HDMI, you can configure HDMI_TXPHY_PAD_CONFIG_CONTROL(FLIP_P_N_ORDER_CLK, FLIP_P_N_ORDER_D0, FLIP_P_N_ORDER_D1, FLIP_P_N_ORDER_D2).

For DSI, you can find the details on the OMAP TRM, for HDMI you would need the HDMI addendum.

Let me know if this answer your question or you need more specific information.

    Regards,

    Jorge Bustamante.

  • Hi Jorge,

Can you please provide the register details for HDMI_TXPHY_PAD_CONFIG_CONTROL. We have to change the polarity of the differential pairs for our  design to work.

We need to know the field description  and register address as we don't have the addendum for 44xx HDMI.

    Thanks,

    Suhas M

  • Suhas,

HDMI TRM addendum is under a license; we cannot provide the details of this register in a public forum.

Please contact your TI representative to put you in touch with the appropriate support channels.
