syslink: disagrees about version of symbol module_layout

Hi,

I have next error while booting my evm:

syslink: disagrees about version of symbol module_layout

FATAL: Error inserting syslink (/lib/modules/2.6.37/kernel/drivers/dps/syslink.ko): Invalid module format

and booting hangs after that. I think this is a reaction on "modprobe syslink" in initial script "load-hd-firmware.sh".

I using PSP 04.00.02.14. Can anybody tell me how to solve this problem?

Hi,

You need to rebuild syslink.ko. Syslink building steps could be found under Syslink Install guide under docs folder of syslink package in index.htm doc.

Thank you for quick response.

I only have syslink from last EZSDK (05_03_01_15). Is it correct to use this version?

I have next error:

make syslink
makefile:432: *** CGT_C674_ELF_INSTALL_DIR is set to "/media/Storage/ti-ezsdk_dm816x-evm_5_03_01_15/component-sources/c674x-aaclcdec_01_41_00_00_elf", which is invalid (could not find file "/media/Storage/ti-ezsdk_dm816x-evm_5_03_01_15/component-sources/c674x-aaclcdec_01_41_00_00_elf/bin/cl6x*"). Set this in <SysLink Install>/products.mak. Refer to the SysLink Install Guide for more information.. Stop.

I checked manually and don't find folder "bin". May be I should use another address of folder?

Have you tried running "make syslink_clean" then "make syslink" from the root of the EZSDK? i.e. run these commands while in "/media/Storage/ti-ezsdk_dm816x-evm_5_03_01_15/".
