How to overclock the TMDXEVM6618LXE board?

Hi

We are using the TMDXEVM6618LXE board for development. The cpu on this board is clocked, by the default settings of its gel file, at 983MHz.  Our target cpu will be clocked at 1.2GHz.  I would like to try overclocking the EVM to 1.2GHz to anticipate the cpu load of our application on the target device.

I can see, in the gel file, how to change the device clock speed (using PLLD and PLLM dividers) but I don’t know what I will need to do for the GbE switch subsystem.

SPRUGZ6 states that the network cooprocessor has 3 primary clock domains, and that these share a common source clock, which is expected to operate at 350MHz.  Will I have changed that '350MHz' clock by modifying the PLLD and PLLM dividers?  If so, what do I need to do to restore that clock to 350MHz?

Best regards

David

  • David, this refers to the TCI6618 DSP.
