Hello,
Is it possible to interface a CSI1 camera to the CSI21 (primary) interface on the OMAP4?
Thanks.

It is possible because CSI2 is backward compatible with CSI1.
Thank you very much Mayank. Do you have a reference for this information? I have looked all over and have found almost no information on CSI1. Admittedly, it would probably help to be a member of the MIPI Alliance but I would have hoped the public information would be a bit more overt about it.
I am a bit confused about one point though - the OMAP4 has a specific CSI1/CCP2 receiver multiplexed with the CSI2-B (or CSI22, I believe) interface, but there is nothing similar shown on the CSI2-A (or CSI21) interface. If CSI2 is backwards compatible, why is it necessary to have the CSI1 receiver? As far as I can tell, CCP2 is almost identical to CSI1 so I would expect that to be compatible with the CSI2 interface as well.
Thanks again.
I will have to take that back. CSI2 is not compatible with CSI1. As you rightly mentioned CCP is. Therefore you can use connect a CSI1 sensor to secondary interface but not primary. My apologies for mixing up the two.
Are there any documents you can point to, additional to the TRM, which would provide information regarding configuration of the ISS module to capture video from the CSI1 sensor connected to the secondary interface?
Hi
Can you please tell me what is different between CSI 1 and CSI2 that results in the non compatibility. From what I can find on the web, the clock speeds are the same and the only apparent difference is the number of data lanes supported.
Thanks
