AM3703 DC Characteristics Interpretation

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3703

Hi,

As per Table 3-5 in AM3703 datasheet, DC characteristics are given for different interfaces. But the format of table is really confusing. Hope someone here can answer my queries

1. The pin numbers are given for CBP package only. For corresponding pins for CBC or CUS packages, we need to look in multiplexing table. But half of the pins mentioned for CBP package are 'NO Connect' in the multiplexing table. The first entry for SDRC mode mentions only 2-3 pins which are actually used and all others are 'No Connect'. How is one supposed to decode this information?

2. Standard LVCMOS Mode - Is this mode to be considered for all GPIO signals (except SD/MMC). Actually, it is given just next to I2C mode and I am confused whether it for I2C pins when used in GPIO mode or for all standard LVCMOS GPIOs.

3. What are other balls? No pin numbers are mentioned here for any package.

4. For input capacitance and transition time, the mode mentioned as 'Otherwise' needs to be considered for all pins whether they are used in GPIO mode or for some dedicated interface. Am I correct?

5. Output capacitance and transition time, is given for some dedicated signals, then for some interfaces and last is 'Otherwise'. Now when using CAM signals as GPIO, which mode should be considered?

How to decide the interface of a pin? Consider pin F4 for CUS package (GPMC_NCS4/SYS_NDMAREQ1/MCBSP4_CLKX/GPT_9_PWM_EVT/GPIO_55). Will it come in GPMC mode or McBSP mode? If I am using it as a GPIO,  which output capacitance and transition time should be considered - one given for different interfaces including McBSP pins or 'Otherwise' pins

6. The output load is given from min 2pF to 22 pF. Can someone explain this big range? For some pins, output load can be controlled using CONTROL_PROG_IOx registers. Now say for camera pins some load is selected using appropriate bit in corresponding register, will it be applicable even when that pin is used a GPIO or will it be applicable only when pin is used as a camera signal?

If there is a guide to interpret this table, it will definitely be helpful.

Regards,

Vini
