Dear all,

We have received a request from our customer .

In case you had the same experience or in case you have the know-how to overcome this issue please share it with us :

"I have issue with the RS232 connection. Although I have successfully tested my serial port with hyperterminal (connecting TX RX ports), but the pulse oximetry PC application software shows that the device is not connected."

    Hi Michael,



    First of all thanks for your response. Actually I am the "original" owner of the case, and now I want to add a few more details.

    We tried to do separate UART loopback test as following:

    1. used the "evm5515_EVM_BSL_revb\evm5515_v1\tests\uart" test code downloaded from Spectrum Digital site.

    2. Connected the UART cable's 2 and 3 pins together.

    3. Compiled the code without errors or warnings

    4. Run the debug succesfully

    5. Got following message 

    EXBUSSEL = 5000
    01  Testing UART...

    Then nothing happened for a while.

    Assumingly it should gave at least some errors. But nothing was happen. So now I even do not know if the transmitting is happening or not.
