What should I do to support 8 channel D1 video capture using dm8148 rdk?

Hi All,

In DM814x_DVR_RDK_DemoGuide.pdf page 7.

I saw this describe: "Note: Only Progressive based use-case for for 4D1 & 8CIF are supported on the DM814x".

Since DM8148 has 2 VIP, and each has port A and port B, I think dm8148 should support at least 4 tvp5158( in other words 16 D1 capture), does this correct?

My use case needs 8 channel D1, how to config the RDK to support this requirement ?

Please help!

Wang,

You can set numVipInst to 2 in your usecase file. You can refer to dvr_rdk\mcfw\src_linux\mcfw_api\usecases\ti814x\multich_progressive_8d1_vcap_venc_vdec_vdis.c as well.

Which version of RDK you refer?

I have not find the file "dvr_rdk\mcfw\src_linux\mcfw_api\usecases\ti814x\multich_progressive_8d1_vcap_venc_vdec_vdis.c"

I only "have dvr_rdk\mcfw\src_linux\mcfw_api\usecases\ti814x\multich_progressive_4d1_vcap_venc_vdec_vdis.c"

My RDK version is DVRRDK_01.08.00.15.

Wang,

The version that you are using is quite old. I'm referring to GA version 02.00.00.23 which has this usecase. Please move to this version
