Hi,

I'm just starting a project on the AM3359 IDK EVM and wanted to start with the latest SDK version. Recently I saw that SDK 5.04.00.00 for Sitara would be available on March 30, 2012 (http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Sitara_Linux_Software_Developer’s_Guide).

On the download page for Linux EZ for AM335X, the latest available version is still 5.03.03.

Was the release delayed ?
Is there another alternative download page ?
The AM3359 IDK is not explicitely stated as supported by the SDK but as far as I could see, there is support in Linux for it through the CONFIG_MACH_AM335XIAEVM configuration. Is that correct ?

Dear Romain,

there is no official IDK support using Linux from TI. Any config still there are probably from some very early work using Linux. But then we switched to Sys/Bios 6 as the RTOS for the IA-SDK. http://www.ti.com/tool/sysbiossdk-ind-sitara

Obviously you could adapt Linux kernel to run on IDK with some effort but for sure this is not the kind out of box experience you get with a fully supported platform. Only general purpose EVM and BeagleBone are supported by TI SDKs right now.

OK I will then try and work on this port.

Do you, by chance, have any information on the 5.04 release date ? I would like to start on the latest available SDK if possible.

no, I am not involved in SDK development. You might want to check Arago if you need latest kernels.

We expect to push the release this week, likely by tomorrow. This SDK does not support the IDK though.

Will new SDK be based on PSP 04.06.00.06 or .07? I have some clock problems with .06 kernel...

What about HW crypto engine support? It was expected on February, can you confirm it will is included in SDK 5.04?

SDK 05.04.00.00 will be based on PSP 04.06.00.06. It will not contain HW crypto engine support.

We are planning an update to SDK 05.04.01.00 for AM335x which will be based on PSP 04.06.00.07 mid-April.

As for HW crypto support we are targetting end of April for a patch that can be applied to the 05.04.01.00 SDK to bring in HW crypto support.
