It appears that the instructions for installing JAVA that appear on TI's Andriod Developer Guide are no longer valid. I have installed Ubuntu 11.10 Desktop and when I follow the procedure for adding Java on 32-Bit machines it says that the following command is "Invalid":
$ sudo add-apt-repository "deb-src http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu lucid partner"
If I try to perform the upgrade ($ sudo apt-get update), I get an error that there is a malformed line in the source list /etc/apt/sources.list
Am I doing something wrong, or has the procedure for adding Java changed and TI has not updated the instructions?
Thanks,
Dan
