NAND flash interface to GPMC (OMAP3530)

hi all,

i have to interface 2 NAND flashes to GPMC,

i can choose any two chip selects form CS0 to CS7,

i have an idea about 1 nand flash interface but how to interface 2 nand flashes,

please help me.

    Hello Reddy,

    As far as I understood reading the TRM, it is just a matter of choosing different chip selects and setting up the access.Each chip select is independent and has its your configuration/control registers. Of course, the bus will be the same.
    But let´s wait for an official answer from TI.

    hi babu....

    even i want to interface 2 nands to omap3530...... one for booting and other for mass storage..... can u hrlp me out pls.... :)

     im using  a 32GB external nand from hynix along with omap3530,this is in addition to POP memory...... so that i can use this 32GB nand as hard disk(mass storage) to store large files...... i have interfaced it through GPMC,all things related to hardware interfacing is finished.....  now the software part comes into picture... im really stuck.... i dnt know where to start.. im planning to use CS1..... can u guide me through some article or tutorial??? pls.. :) can u pls give me a list of files i need to edit in the BSP.. im using wince BSP version 1.3

    what is the size of LPDDR SDRAM are you using ?

    please send the data sheet of NAND flash , and also clarify 32GB (byte) or 32Gb (bit)?

    is there any restriction to use only WINCE ? what about Linux OS?

    im using POP(512MB ram + 512 nand)  from hynix..... along with pop i need external nand of 32 GIGA BYTE which i want to use it as mass storage device.... 

    im restricted to use only WINCE...... but in future in coming months we will be using linux also :) we want both versions.......... the 32 GB nand that we r using is from hynix , its 8 bit nand .. il l be letting u know the part number shortly.... :) thnx in advance

    hi reddy...

    which all files should we edit in wince 6.0 BSP for making the external nand up...we r using nand from hynix H27UEG series(32GByte) its a 8 bit nand

    pls tell me how to use cs2 for hynix nand.... which file in BSP should we edit for using cs2 and what address should we map.......

    Dear Suhas,

    GPMC (OMAP3530) can not support 3.3v NAND flash. it can support 1.8v.  please read GPMC related chapter in TRM of OMAP3530.

    hey we r using bi directional level shifter for this prob..... so 1.8v to 3.3v conversion and vice versa is taken care by this voltage level shifter.... hardware point of view we have taken care on this issue....

    first of all, is 2 NANDS i.e. POP n external nand  can be used togeather or only one of them???? is ur board having both pop and external nand interface????
