Hi,
I will like to know which memory option, SD or NAND will be able to boot faster? I noticed the wiki page which contains the Boot-time using a SD card. Is there any documetation for boot-time using NAND?
Regards

Hi Ivan,
Both SD/NAND can be used for faster booting depending on the throughput that can be achieved using the driver. At PathPartner we've done boot time optimization on couple of TI platforms like DM36x, OMAP4, DM814x etc. We've used storage like NAND, eMMC etc and got very good throughput and there by reducing the boot time substantially. We have a team specialized in storage driver optimization and boot time reduction.
Is your customer very particular about boot time? If so, could you please share the details like the SoC, Storage(NAND, MMC/SD, eMMC), Operating System used etc? Then I can help you finding out the best boot time that's possible.
