AM335X McASP Frame synch and clock questions

Hi,expects,

We are going to use AM335X on our new design. On this design, we need serial interface to external components. Previously we used McBSP port to interface this kind of component.

This time to use McASP, I'm not sure if McASP is comptatible with McBSP. Before we get the AM335X DVK, we have following questions regarding McASP port.

1),In the TDM Transmit mode, if ACLKX be driven by AM335X, can FSX be driven by external source?

2),In the TDM Transmit mode, is ACLKX driven continously by AM335X once the port transmit is enabled? If not, can external FSX is driven/asserted first, and then trig AM335X to begin drive ACLKX to clock out data?

3), in the TDM  Receive mode, if ACLKR and FSR are both driven by external sources, must the ACLKR be driven continously? If not, can FSR be driven/asserted before ACLKR? and FSR be effective during the whole frame transmission, not just one bit or slot width?
