resulting in error message -> xdc.platform.generic.Platform.Instance#0 : Parameter deviceName must be specified for 'xdc.platform.generic' platform.

How can i define the deviceName,catalogName and clockRate in the .cfg file ??

The platform has to be specified earlier than the CFG script. What's your build environment (command line, CCS, configuro?) and for which device are you building? Depending on the build environment, you can fix the problem in different ways, and also there is probably a platform that would work better for your device than xdc.platform.generic.

Dear Sasha,

i'm using TMS320C6670 and i have a suitable platform for this device.

My Problem is to integrate this platform into the eclipse workspace/ RTSC project for version control with subversion.

I want only a few files, to define platform specific values like memory map

So, I was searching for a more convenient way without including platform path and files.

Or is there a way to use a MCSDK platform and alter memory begin of L2SRAM to 0x00800200 in the cfg file?

If you are using TMS320C6670, why can't you use or at least start with evm6670? That platform declares some external memory but it's configured by default to allocate all sections to L2SRAM. However, it seems that you need to reconfigure the default memory. For that, you need to use the Platform Wizard to create a new platform. There are already threads on the forum discussing version control for custom platforms. Here are two such threads:

The first one also describes why you can't alter the memory map in the CFG script.
