Purchasing DM8148 devices

Where can I purchase small quantities (about 4) of DM8148 devices for a prototype board build? All suppliers are out of stock at the moment, lead times are quite long, and the minimum orders are often large. Are samples (free or otherwise) available direct from TI in a shorter time frame? I've tried contacting my local Vancouver BC FAE but he hasn't gotten back to me in over 10 days.

I've run into the same issue. I've left a few messages with TI and not gotten a response. Requested lead time from Digikey :

"LEAD TIME FOR EACH OF THE SUBS IS APPROX 12 WEEKS. TO ENSURE SECURE STOCK,"

Sorry, the DM8148 is not included in the sample program. Lead times should improve in Q4.

Hi Tom,

What's the quickest way to purchase them at the moment? Are they only available through distributors, or can FAEs provide parts sooner?

There's now some stock of TMS320DM8148BCYE0 at Arrow.

8 were available last time I checked.
