Cannot connect to AM3359 ICE-Board after erasing EEPROM (not actually wanted that)

Hi!

I'm an absolutely newbie on Sitara, but I'll try harder...

well I've just tried to install an own-built bootloader, but I've just forgot to load the file to memory in CCSv5, so the EEPROM seemed to have been erase through this activity of the flash-tool.

I cannot reconnect via CCSv5 now, and so my question is, how can I reinstall a bootloader, so I can actually reconnect to the ICE, please?

Thanks for any hint!

Regards,

Thomas.

  • I assume you were using SPI Flash-tool. In this case, you might have erased SPI flash ,not EEPROM. Ideally, even if you have erased boot loader from Flash, you should be able to connect to board from CCS with any issues.

To install boot loader, you need to connect to CCS. For you, CCS is not getting connected right? May be you can try to connect after restarting both CCS and ICE. And if that still doesn't work for you,  please tell us the error you are getting when you try to connect.

  • Hi!

I don't know how, but after a complete restart of both CCS and board the connection has been re-established very well :)!

It seems, that after a broken connection, CCS hasn't been able to find the USB-port again. Eclipse has also been hung.

Nevertheless, many thanks for this real fast support!

    Best regards,

    Thomas.
