Hi

We are in the process of designing a custom board with TMS320C6678 processor.

Have some basic queries ..

Which booting device ( NOR or NAND) should we need to use for 6678 ?

If NOR flash , How much size, configuration ( 8 or 16 bit), and which chip select ( EMIF16 CS)  I need to connect ?

If NAND flash , How much size, configuration ( 8 or 16 bit), and which chip select ( EMIF16 CS)  I need to connect ?

Please Help

    Mahendra,

    it depends on what you want to do and what type of flash you will be using. The native ROM bootloader will support only NOR boot through EMIF. But you can also do NAND boot using IBL. So it is upto you on what boot mode you need.
