VoLIB Version 2.0.0 Released

Voice Component Library (VoLIB) release 2.0.0 has been approved for GA and is available for download.  This release features support for devices using the Keystone architecture (c66x) as well as some new components and modules.

The Voice Component Library (VoLIB) provides components that allow a development  team to reduce time-to-market by providing the major building blocks of a voice  processing system.  VoLIB comprises a collection of stand-alone voice processing packages that together can fulfill most voice channel processing requirements.  The library contains reliable field-hardened voice processing building blocks.  These blocks may be quickly linked to suit the needs of most voice processing systems.

This release supports the c66x and c64x+ in both ELF and COFF formats as well as the c55x device family.  The c674x device family is supported for fixed-point only via the c64x+ libraries.

The following components/modules have been added for this release:

  • Tone Generation Engine (TGE)
  • PCM encode/decode module (within VPE)
  • Sample Frequency Conversion (SFC, within VPE)

All previous voice components are included in this release:

  • Caller Identification (CID)
  • Echo Canceler Unit (ECU)
  • Noise Matching Unit (NMU)
  • Packet Loss Concealment (PLC)
  • Tone Detection Unit (TDU
  • Voice Activity Detection Unit (VAU)
  • Voice Enhancement Unit (VEU)
  • Voice Processing Elements (VPE)

Note that VoLIB related queries should be posted to the BIOS forum.
