RTA support

I understand from it's wiki page, http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Real_Time_Data_eXchange_%28RTDX%29, that RTDX is no longer supported. I also understand from the note at the beginning of TMS320 DSP/BIOS v5.41 User’s Guide, chapter 3, that RTA depends on it. Does it follow that the entire instrumentation chapter 3 of the DSP/BIOS user manual is now unsupported, including LOG and the other mentioned APIs?

Even though RTDX is not supported most if not all instrumentation APIs are still supported like LOG because you can still get the information when the target is halted. RTDX allowed the data to be retrieved while the program is running.

Thanks for your reply.

Section 3 of the DSP/BIOS user manual needs some heavy revision because of the RTDX non-support. Is this on any one's to do list?

DSP/BIOS is really a legacy product at this point so the short answer is "no".

All the development efforts are going into SYS/BIOS.
