DM6467T TMS320DM6467TZUTD1 load resistance

We are developing a product using TMS320DM6467TZUTD1 $N30-21A3VKW which generates more heat than our previous product using TMS320DM6467TZUTD1 $N30-08AC19W whose resistive load is 50 ohms in 1.3V voltage line and generate relatively low heat.

It seems TMS320DM6467TZUTD1 $N30-21A3VKW chip has resistive load 30 ohms and generates a lot of heat. Is the latest TMS320DM6467TZUTD1 chip also available with 50 ohms load resistance in 1.3V voltage line?

We would sincerely appreciate any help as We are very close to the production  but we are currently blocked by issue.

Regards,

Sam

  • Sam,

If  understand the question correct you have two batches of material and one is hotter than the other.  For that specific device we have a power spec and we adhere to that spec but the parts a customer receives may be well under that spec as well.  We need to know what power you are seeing and at what case temp to understand if this is a real issue or not.  If it seems like we have chips running out of spec power with in spec temperature control we can certainly review those die and see where they fall in our distribution but would need to get the parts back in house for this.

We don’t specifically have a 50ohm vs. 30hm resistive load test or spec.
