TPS659XX keypad issue

We are using the TPS659XX keypad and we've noticed it does not support repeated keys. Is it a known issue and is there a way around it?

Could you give us more details. Which platform are you using? WEC7 or WinCE 6? Which BSP version?

We are using InHand's Aperion platform which is based on TexasInstruments' BSP version "BSP_WINCE_ARM_A8 1.01.00.03" on WinCE 6.0.

In more detail, we are trying to process the keypad's keydown/keypress/keyup events to distinguish between long and short presses but the problem is that we always get a keydown immediately followed by a keyup without even depressing the key. Any idea why and is there a way around it?
