VPSS User Guide and Video Pipelines

Third pipeline is similar to first two pipelines, but it can take display only on SD Video.  It can't be used to display on any of the HD videos. Third can take YUV420 as well in addition to YUV422.

How does this correlate to the actual hardware?  Document sprugx8, the dm816x tech ref manual, shows two video paths in figure 2-1, not three as you've stated are available.

In many instances, it's been difficult to correlate what is shown in the hardware documentation to the software user guides.  This is just another example.

In sprugx8, pg-375, SD video display path is shown next to three graphics planes, Its marked at SEC1 path and contains chroma up sampler.

If I continue down this path of correlating the three video pipelines referenced in the VPSS user guide to the figure on pg 375 of sprugx8, do video1 and video2 correspond to the 'Primary Video Path' and 'Auxiliary Video Path' blocks in the figure, or the 'Bypass0' and 'Bypass1' lines in the figure?

video1 and video2 corresponds to Bypass0 and Bypass1. There is not display driver available for primary and auxiliary video paths.
