Error with Lyrtech board EVMC6457

Hi,

When I'm trying to connect  to the Lyrtech board EVMC6457, I'm getting the following error:

An error occurred while hard opening the controller.

-----[An error has occurred and this utility has aborted]--------------------

This error is generated by TI's USCIF driver or utilities.

The value is '-230' (0xffffff1a).
The title is 'SC_ERR_PATH_MEASURE'.

The explanation is:
The measured lengths of the JTAG IR and DR scan-paths are invalid.
This indicates that an error exists in the link-delay or scan-path.

Any solutions to this error.
I don't have the original CD of the board.
The installed CCS is v5.1.

Thank you.
Michael

  • Michael,

My first guess is that the Target Configuration file has something wrong in it.

An unlikely guess is that you are plugged into the wrong place for the emulator.

You should be able to download the CD contents from the Lyrtech website.

  • Thank you for your reply.

To test the connection I selected Blackhawk USB510 Emulator together with EVMC6457 board in the Target Configuration.

I looked on the Lyrtech website and I couldn't find the CD contents.

  • Michael,

Please contact Lyrtech for this information. You will need the contents of the CD for many support features and tools.

I do not have this EVM, so I do not know if your Target Configuration is correct or not. It is possible that there is a correct .ccxml file supplied on the CD.

Hopefully, someone else will be able to join this conversation with other information, but for now, please contact Lyrtech for the proper information.

    Regards,
    RandyP
