Upcoming AM35x Linux PSP Release.

Hi,

We have AM3505 based product which we started with PSP03.xx.xx.xx and now we want to port it on latest PSP Release- 04.02.00.07.

Before moving forward I wanted to know when the next release is planned for AM35x? If its in near future we would like to use it.

Krunal,

There are no plans to provide newer kernels for the AM35x. The existing PSP v04.02.00.07 that includes the v2.6.37 kernel will be the last one for the AM35x. We are however aggressively driving mainline for our other two high running devices, AM37x and AM335x.

The 2Q 2012 Sitara Linux SDK on Beagleboard-xM will release with a stable kernel release (v3.3.7) and uboot release (v2012.04). We expect to make the same true for the AM37x EVM by the end of the year. And AM335x is expected to be mainline 1H2013.

Hi Kevin,

I am evaluating difference between AM35x-OMAP35x-PSP_03.00.01.06 and AM35x-OMAP35x-PSP_04.02.00.07 releases. I see major difference in the NAND and ethernet performance. In-fact the performance is poor in the latest release.

Can you please help me to find out why is it so?
