Ata fs problem

Hi,

I'm using EZDSP5535.

I try to write a file in an sdcard using ATAFS library, the problem is that I can execute the ATA_write function only one time. So I am unable to write several times in the same file, I can not open it with a hex editor to view its contents.

When i plug the sdcard on the pc, a message informed me that the file is damaged.
I want to know if anyone has had this problem. If it does, can you explain the process to me?

Have you remembered to call ATA_close(/pointer to your file/) after writting to that file ?

Hi Nghiem Hoang,

thank you for the reply, yes i didn't forget to call ATA_close. But i have noticed that if i start by writhing some bytes in the file, i can after that re open it and write many times without problems.

Hi fezai fethi,

According to your discover, I think it was because EOF character. If you just create a file and do not write anything to that file, It may not have EOF (End-Of-File) character. When you open this file on windows, there would be error ?

Hi,

I am also trying to write a file using EZDSP5535 through ATAFS. However, I am having problems executing ATA_systemInit(). The DSP would just hang in an endless loop. How did you setup/initialize the ATAFS module? I could not find any documentation regarding the ATAFS module..

Hi, If you use ATAFS for SD card communication, you would need to initialize your MMC device first. Because ATA_systemInit() required its arguments to be initialized with parameters which were returned from MMC initialization.

Hi,

Thanks, I used code from the CSL example and ATA_systemInit() now runs fine. One tricky thing is to note that ata functions are using the same/appropriate handles across different source files!
