Why no B frames? Files encoded by H.264 High Profile on DM8168

Hi,

I test codecs on DM8168, and find that encoded files have no B frames when encoded by H.264 High profile. Why? And how can I enable B frames while encoding?

Ariel,

you have to set maxInterFrameInterval & interframeInterval to (1 + N), where N is the number of B frames needed.

Hi Deepak Poddar,

I found that if test the encode demo, B-frame works well, but if test capture_encode demo, it will run to error. Why?

Can you please refer the respective documentation. If there is difference between documentation and behavior then raise the concern with your point of contact person in TI directly with more details.
