Flashing IBL for PCIe Boot example failed

Hello,

I've tried to flash the IBL for the PCIe Boot example, but it always fails while verifying the data (see below). I just followed these instructions and everything works fine: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/BIOS_MCSDK_2.0_User_Guide#IBL

I'm using CCS5.1.1.00028 and MCSDK 2.00.08.20. Can somebody help?

Can you comment on what you mean by I followed all the instructions and it worked fine in your post?

Hello Arun,

sorry for the bad expression. I meant, everything works fine until step 9, here the error mentioned above occurs. I tried it several times, but the verify always failed.

Hi Bernd,

Couple of things. Are you setting the device in no boot mode for writing the flash. If aeverything till step 9 is done correctly you should get the code working. Can you try a older MCSDK if you have. I have tried MCSDK 2.0.7 and it worked.

Also the best and correct way to flash the original IBL is to use program_evm. But this will reset the system to the base and you can try the PCIe boot after that. please try that and let me know if that works.

Hi Arun,

I have used the new CCS with all updates and now it works. But I think the error was that the app.bin was not loaded correct into the memory to 0x80000000. Having checked this, now everything works fine.
