HDMI/DVI Capture using Netra 816x Exapnsion I/O daughter card

Hi,

I have a TI816x Netra board with an 816x expansion IO daughter card.
On the daughter card, I have an HDMI port with says "HDMI IN2".

  • Is this port meant for HDMI in or DVI capture?
  • Which are the Vip ports to which this HDMI/DVI port is connected?
  • Is chains example sufficient for capture of data over this interface.
  • If it is DVI source, what kind of media sources can I connect to it?

Regards,
Karthik

This is DVI capture not the HDMI capture.

You can figure it out from the Schematics. I think its connected to VIP1

What is this chains example. We dont have any driver for DVI capture in Media controller or in V4L2 capture driver.

HDMI is backwards compatible to DVI, you can connected DVD player out or PS3 out in case it supports DVI. But DVI wont support HDMI, so make sure that source is DVI. You can connect to monitor first and make sure that its DVI.
