How to make mcbsp sample work with L138?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OMAP-L138

Hello there,

(I'm very new in this forum.)

I'm trying to setup a demonstration of the OMAP-L138. I have the EVM kit and I'm using the dvsdk_omapl138-evm_04_03_00_06 sdk.

I would like to make the mcbsp_test linux sample work.

Everything is compiled and installed.

I've set the S7:2 to ON.

I've removed the Sound drivers from the kernel.

And I've connected an external waveform generator to the Line IN on the EVM board. The generator is set to 1k Hz, 0.5V.

The linux startup confirms the initialization:

...

McBSP:Probed McBSP1

...

I start the mcbsp_test with the following command:

insmod mcbsp_test.ko num_pkts=5 master=0 tx_rx=2

And the test program seem to start up fine:

Starting McBSP test
Request for McBSP1 sucessful
No DLB mode
Starting McBSP RX
McBSP started
Receving data...

But it doesn't receives anything.

Does anyone know what I'm missing?

Update: I think that S7:2 should be OFF when using the LINE IN. It doesn't make a difference though. The msbsp_test still stops at "Receving data..."
