DM8168 PinMux question

Hi.

we need DM8168 to output to two video out port (one 24 bit => VOUT[0] and one 16bit => VOUT[1]). We need also two video inputs, the first at 24 bit (VIN[0]) and the second 16 bit (VIN[1]).

Using the PinMux tool it seems impossible to do that because VOUT[1] pins seems to be shared with most VIN[1] data pins.

Is this correct or I am missing something?

Thank you in advance.

  • Hi,

Yes, This is correct, you can't use VOUT[1] and VIN[1] at same time because of pin mux constraints. But we have on-chip HDMI out for VOUT[1]. So you can use this. For any other format like VGA or YPbPr you need to use some kind of converter to convert from HDMI/DVI to VGA or something like that.
