Dear Experts,

Processor you are using: TI OMAP 3530
BSP version : 6.14.0
Platform (EVM or custom board): Custom board
Steps to reproduce the problem : Can't recognize emmc 4.4 (>4G) iNand

Can TI OMAP 3530 6.14 BSP support emmc 4G iNand ?

2G iNand is always ok.

Any update about this BSP or driver to achieve this issue ?

Hi,

The SDHC driver from the BSP should support such an eMMC, but you might need to check that 8-bit support is available. We know it is supported in the latest ARM_A8 unified BSP though.

Please also let us know how the eMMC is connected to your custom board: number of data lines, instance of the SDHC controller, use of WP and CD pins, etc...

I have wince_arm_a8_1, but I can't see the EXT_CSD structure for emmc 4.4.

What version of BSP will support emmc 4.4 ?

Now, the emmc iNand (SANDISK_SDIN5D2-2G) in our platform is 4 bit data line. SDHC controller is OMAP3530.

The circuit as below picture. We want to change 2G solution to 4G solution.

Linux can support 4G solution at OMAP3530. Thus, I thought 8-bit support should not be necessary.

we also have very similar setup. with some work I was able to actually able to get the OMAP to boot from the 2G iNAND device on MMC2.

I also noticed when I went to the 4G device it would no longer boot. I have not investigated it further but something is different.
