Slice based capture-encode-decode-display for ezsdk

Hi all,

TI claims that around 50ms glass to glass latency can be achieved for Netra (reference - http://newscenter.ti.com/Blogs/newsroom/archive/2010/03/18/new-dm8168-davinci-video-soc-from-texas-instruments-offers-best-in-class-embedded-video-performance-for-video-surveillance-and-video-communications-365010.aspx)

For a product, we have low latency requirement and I would like to have slice based capture-enc-dec-display components.

As per following post (http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/davinci_digital_media_processors/f/717/t/152211.aspx), TI team is doing some development on this.

Any update regarding same ? I would like to know TI's plan and road map for low latency components.

From where can I get more details regarding the same ?

This feature is not planned yet. We will update as soon as we will have dates for it.

Meanwhile, can you point me to any documentation which can help to implement slice based cap/enc/dec/display on Netra ?

Is it for sure that TI will provide this release ?

Hi Sweta,

For any documentation outside EZSDK release please contact your local FAE. Most of these documents are under NDA. We have not yet planned slice based implementation on EZSDK.
